ITPO's mission is to promote India's external trade by organizing international trade fairs, buyer-seller meets, and trade promotion events. We envision positioning India as a global manufacturing hub and preferred trading partner through strategic initiatives and partnerships.

With our headquarters at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi, we operate from multiple regional offices across India and international offices in key global markets. Our team of 500+ trade experts works tirelessly to connect Indian businesses with international opportunities.

Our History & Milestones

1977

ITPO established by the Government of India as the apex trade promotion body.

1982

First India International Trade Fair organized, attracting 500+ exhibitors from 20 countries.

1995

Expanded operations with regional offices in Mumbai, Chennai, and Kolkata.

Launched the Export Promotion Council to specifically support SMEs.

Re-developed Pragati Maidan into a world-class integrated exhibition and convention center.

Exhibition Management

We facilitate buyer-seller meets and reverse buyer-seller meets by inviting international delegations to India and organizing Indian participation in overseas trade fairs. Our database includes over 25,000 verified international buyers across sectors.

In 2023, we organized 75+ buyer-seller meets resulting in business inquiries worth approximately $850 million. Our focused sector programs have been particularly successful in pharmaceuticals, textiles, and engineering goods.
